This theme area studies the role of government in economic development, poverty, marketing, international trade, and agriculture. This area emphasizes applied micro-economics in analyzing impacts of a wide range of public policies and programs in developing and developed economies. Students and faculty also study the role of interest groups in the development of policies.

International Policy and Development (IPAD) Workshop

The International Policy and Development (IPAD) workshop is a forum for faculty and students to present research, learn from one another, and build a community of development economics scholars in ACE. This weekly workshop features research presentations on a range of topics related to international policy and development economics. Early stage research is welcome.
